What does On-Track Insurance cover?
Before you enter the track you should have checked your On-Track Race and Rally Insurance to ensure you can enjoy the thrill of the event, but with peace of mind, your vehicle is covered.
Obviously, on a racetrack, there are several ways you can damage your or someone else’s vehicle. You can simply make a driving error and hit a barrier, make contact with another car, or another car makes contact with you. No matter the scenario when you’re in a track day or race environment you are responsible for the cost of your own repairs, even if the incident wasn’t your fault.
What happens if you have an accident?
In the unfortunate scenario that you do have some kind of accident, you should contact MIS (or us) within 48 hours. Although it’s recommended you make the initial contact as soon as you can. This will give you more time to gather any supporting evidence for your claim.
Supporting evidence can include photos and a confirmation from the track that the incident occurred. Your finalised claim will then also likely include a cost for the repairs.
