Meet our expert team
Chris Tyrrell
Chris is Underwriting Director with overall responsibility for on-track and on-event accident damage insurance to cars while competing. He has been involved with motorsport insurance since 2007 and has considerable experience in this specialist field.
Chris has a wide range of contacts amongst teams, competitors and insurers and has dealt with most classes of racing and rallying. He has travelled extensively to attend motorsport events worldwide and develop new opportunities.
Chris is a keen golfer and cyclist and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Neil Want
Neil is our Commercial Director and has been in the industry for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience on all aspects of insurance. He has worked for both insurers and brokers so has a full understanding of how the insurance market works.
Neil has a large portfolio of long-standing clients who appreciate his straightforward no-nonsense approach to the handling of their insurance. He is our “go to” man when it comes to the more unusual enquiries and is an expert at finding a solution for those hard-to-place risks.
Away from work, Neil is married with 2 cats and, when not eating out or sampling gin, can be found on the golf course. He is also a long-suffering West Ham United fan and, having moved to Yorkshire some 30 years ago, a supporter of Leeds Rhinos.
Sharon Grant
Sharon is our Finance and Office Manager, Sharon has over 18 years’ experience within the insurance industry. She is responsible for all aspects of the MIS accounts, including day to day queries and credit control.
Sharon enjoys spending her free time with family & friends and weekends away, particularly in Whitby. Sharon is also a big dog lover and enjoys long walks with her dogs.
Richard Wigg
Richard is an Account Executive in the Commercial Team and has spent over 20 years working in the insurance industry and has experience in all aspects of Commercial Lines, including specialist and niche areas. This experience gives him the knowledge to advise and aid clients in tailoring cover to their needs.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and dog, travelling to visit new places. A keen sports fan, he also tries to attend various events when time allows.
Georgia Keen
Georgia is our On Track Claims Manager & is CII Certified. She is responsible for the processing of claims to ensure the procedure is handled efficiently and in a manner that protects the interests of the insured parties while also providing excellent customer service.
Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending time with her family & friends. She also works as a Makeup Artist in her spare time and enjoys weekends away in The Lakes.
Kyle Whitston
Kyle is an Account Handler on the Commercial side and works directly with brokers, intermediaries, businesses, and private clients to offer exclusive products within the motor trade industry.
Outside of work, Kyle has participation experience within the motorsport world and he enjoys his time down at the circuit, racing and has a vast interest in cars.
Ryan Flynn
Ryan is a New Business Account Executive covering our commercial and on track Business in the UK, Ryan specialises in generating leads and building strong relationships with clients and insurers to make sure all our clients receive the best service and cover for all their insurance needs.
Ryans weekends and free time are usually taken up with Family time, mainly his two sons in their various sporting activities, and if he does get any spare time to himself, he enjoys watching sports and a game of golf with friends.
Seb Betts
Seb is a skilled Account Executive with a focus on On-Track/On Event Insurance. He excels at generating and converting leads, while also building strong relationships with Sub-Brokers and clients. With a passion for motorsports, an eye for detail and extensive knowledge of all thing’s cars, Seb is well-equipped to underwrite the unique risks associated with MIS.
After completing a degree in business, he continues to expand his knowledge and skills by navigating the exams for insurance and accountancy. Seb's commitment to professional development showcases his drive and determination to excel in his field.
Seb is an avid motorsport enthusiast who enjoys being involved in the world of racing. Apart from motorsports, he also finds joy in skiing and cycling. When he's not engaged in his active hobbies, Seb values quality time spent with friends.
Charlie Best
Charlie is our Operations Director and has been working with MIS since September 2020. Charlie is a Chartered Accountant by trade so whilst working with Sharon and the group on the finance side, Charlie also works with Senior Management on securing new and maintaining current capacity, whilst taking on the day-to-day operations of the company.
Charlie is keen sportsman playing semi-professional cricket, local football in the off season and is described as a fair-weather golfer. When not on a sports field, Charlie will be found following the fortunes of Liverpool FC.
